 Formoson Termite  
  • Most aggressive type of subterranean termite
  • 1/2 in. long
  • Also called the super termite
  • Large colonies (up to 3 million termites)
  • Underground colonies; also builds mud nests inside the walls of a structure
  • Once established, colonies do not need soil contact
  • Colonies can consume up to 13 oz of wood a day
