  • Gray to brown with black fur around eyes giving it a “masked” face
  • Dark rings on tail
  • Dense underfur
  • Front paws are very sensitive
  • 16-28 in
  • 8-20 pounds
  • Nocturnal
  • Known for it’s intelligence
  • Lives in tree hollow of dead trees or rock crevices;  will also nest in attics or crawl spaces
  • Eats variety of foods mostly consisting of insects, worms, fruits, nuts, birds, and fish
