• Long and slender
• 1/2 in. long
• Silver to gray and shiny
• Covered in scales
• Wingless
• Long antennae and 3 thread-like appendages at the end of the abdomen
• Abdomen tapers at the end giving it a fish-like appearance
• Likes damp, cool places; common in attics especially if there are boxes of books
• Eats foods containing proteins or carbohydrates like dried beef, flour, starch, sugar, paper, dead insects, and linen
